A sample of some of the crafts on offer can be found below - if there is something you would like to try that you don't see here then please feel free to ask.

  • Soulful Spinning on a Drop Spindle - Spinning this way has been done for thousands of years. This is my personal favourite as not only is it meditative, but I feel a deep connection to our ancestors through the centuries. They sat producing yarn in the same way as I do now, little has changed.

  • Wild weaving - Weaving is another age old tradition. This is weaving with a twist, as we will weave onto branches using different materials and fiber. I will show you how to set your frame and some interesting weaving techniques, then you will be free to go wild and create.

  • Mala making - Learn to make and use a Mala. A Mala is not only a beautiful thing, it is a useful tool for keeping track of mantra count during meditation. You will make your own Mala from your choice of beads. I will then show you how one is used in meditation, and we will then close with a simple mantra meditation together.

  • Stone Crochet - Learn to create beautiful crochet stone wraps using a few simple stitches. They make lovely natural paper weights when completed.

  • Knitting - Make a cosy shawl from a few simple stitches. Perfect for meditation or to pop on after a yoga class.

  • Beadwork - Free-form or bead-woven jewellery from a variety of natural materials.

  • Slow stitching - Exploring nature in needle and thread. It doesn't matter if you have never picked up a needs before, no experience is necessary. We will have fun with different textures and fibres - you will lose hours in this wonderful art form.

  • Stone weaving - Like the crochet wrap stones, woven stones make for beautiful gifts. Stones can be woven using all kinds of materials, the only limit is your imagination. A perfect opportunity to go wild and create.

All of the above crafts can be done with vegan fibers.
