Fiber Arts Background
I found a love of fiber crafts early on. As a child, I was surrounded by beautifully creative women; my mother taught me to knit and spin, first on a drop spindle and later on her spinning wheel. From there I picked up crochet, sewing, weaving, and other crafts from aunts and my wonderful Gran, who was also a needle lace artist.

Dying and felting came later, as did more advanced spinning, when I found Jenny, the most creative, wonderful, wise teacher and artisan. Jenny became my mentor and guide teaching me how to fuse all these beautiful crafts with other mediums to create art, and I will always be grateful for the time and love she gave me. And it is thanks to her that I am able to pass on these traditional arts.

I now find great pleasure in passing on these beautiful traditional skills with classes, one-to-one lessons, workshops, either in person or online. Please contact me for more details.
